Microdermabrasion

Discover smoother, brighter and clearer skin with our professional microdermabrasion treatments. Below you’ll find everything you need to know before booking your appointment.

What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a gentle, non-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment. Thousands of tiny Aluminium Oxide crystals exfoliate the outer layer of dead skin while a vacuum action removes debris, unclogs pores and stimulates cell renewal.

The result? A fresher, healthier and more radiant complexion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a patch test?

Yes. All clients must have a patch test 24 hours before their first treatment.

What are the crystals made from?

We use Aluminium Oxide crystals—a naturally occurring, sterile, and non-toxic mineral safe for cosmetic use.

What skin concerns can microdermabrasion help with?

Microdermabrasion is effective for improving:

  1. Acne & acne scarring
  2. Fine lines and wrinkles
  3. Ageing or dull skin
  4. Dry or dehydrated skin
  5. Uneven skin tone
  6. Pigmentation & blemishes
  7. Stretch marks (appearance only)
  8. Hyperpigmentation / Melasma (may require a longer course)

Note: Stretch marks should only be treated once inflammation has fully settled (e.g., 6 months post-surgery).

Who Is Not Suitable for Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is not suitable if you have:

  1. Grade 4 acne (very inflamed or pustular skin)
  2. Roaccutane use – must wait 6 months after treatment ends
  3. Cancer diagnosis – must be in remission for 6 months
  4. Pregnancy (increased pigmentation risk)
  5. Auto-immune diseases
  6. Rosacea (IPL is recommended instead)
  7. Shingles – wait until fully healed

During Your Treatment

What happens during a microdermabrasion session? Each treatment lasts around and includes:

1

Gentle gel cleanse to prepare the skin.

2

Exfoliation using fine crystals delivered through a handheld wand.

3

Vacuum suction to clear debris and unclog pores.

4

Targeted passes over problem areas.

5

Application of moisturiser and SPF to protect newly revealed skin.

Treatments are comfortable, convenient and require no downtime —often called the “lunchtime facial”.
